a bit much for the golden globes don’t you think?
it is very pretty though…of course a tall person would look better in it since the bottom has so much volume, but she looks good….but she went a little too fancy for the event in my opinion. i mean everyone was formal, but she went to the extreme. but whatevs. let the girl wear what she wants…this is the biggest awards show of the season for her!

i love this quote.  i still have yet to see this movie.  but i think it’s more than just talent that is beauty…it’s loving what you can do with the talent you have and doing whatever you do with as much conviction and guts that you’ve got.  the people i’ve met that i will always remember best are the ones who are deeply involved with and excited by whatever it is that they do—teachers, doctors, performers, engineers (aka my daddy :] ).
back to barbara…she’s a GOD.  as much as i loved lea michele’s rendition of rain on my parade, it was not even half of barbara’s….it’s just that the song was written for barbara.  it just didn’t fit lea’s voice…i still enjoy listening to it, however.  :]

Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl (1968, William Wyler)
“It’s been commonly said that the musical Funny Girl was a comfort to people because it carried the message that you do not need to be pretty to succeed. That is nonsense; the ‘message’ of Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl is that talent is beauty.”

  • Cory: They died. Thanks for bringing it up! Lea has rescue cats.
  • Lea: I love how you just call them rescue cats - like they're not normal cats. Do you remember their names?
  • Cory: Cupcake and Meat Pie.

"Don’t Stop Believing" from the Glee Pilot…from the beginning of this song, I knew I’d be hooked to the show :]

FINALLY! A good quality recording of Lea Michele singing “On My Own”

from the Glee pilot…

"Take a Bow" from Season 1’s Premiere…"Showmance"

Lea Michele…your voice is a godsend.

I don’t care what people say…that you’re snooty and conceited.

You’re a freaking good singer and that’s what matters.

O M G. Lea’s last note….AHHHHHH!!!!!

What a power mixer!

Lea Michele and Dianna Agron sing “Halo” and “Walking on Sunshine”…they are competing against the boys to see who will get the solo/lead in the song.

Not everyone looks like Blair Waldorf or Serena van der Woodsen. I’d like to, but I don’t.
